During the working trip, representatives from six government agencies (the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the State Agency for Personal Data Protection under the Cabinet of Ministers, the State Committee for National Security, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Digital Development, and the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic) familiarized themselves with practical aspects of data protection. Special attention was paid to issues of data breaches, cybercrime investigations, cyber forensics, protection of children's rights in cyberspace, and determination of responsibility for violations of EU legislation (GDPR) in this area.
The purpose of the visit was to exchange experience for the improvement of legislative and technological tools for the protection of personal data and cybersecurity.
The organizers of the visit, the Estonian Academy of e-Governance and the Italian municipal company CSI Piemonte, noted the active participation of representatives from Kyrgyz government agencies in seminars and issued certificates to delegation members.
